Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts could not move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is meant to hoist personnel is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
