Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The main goal is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This particular area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, so as to keep the operator working as effectively as he or she could.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low thanks to the insulated mounting on the chassis. In order to maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and easy to operate levers that are offered for the horn, window washers, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
To guarantee a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, cooling and heating. As an extra option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The standard instruments which include: low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Moreover, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that happen and their current values.
