Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, since 1962. Every day the company strives to help all their customers reach their goals and deliver value as they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are usually powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great option for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work site.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before utilizing boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to need many more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have really increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
